I'm a walking oxymoron.

I'm a very laid back person with a lot of drive to do things just the way I want them to be done. I'm easy to get along with and I have very low tolerance towards hatred on cyberspace.

The Brief and Wondrous life of Oscar Wao

I stayed home for two days because it hurts when I walk because of a ginormous bump I unfortunately acquired only God knows how. I actually had a fever when I went to the doctor because I cannot walk two steps without hurting myself into almost unconsciousness, I am not exaggerating.

Anyway I read another book while I am at home. At first I thought the book will be a light read but was I wrong. But I should’ve expected that because the book is a Pulitzer Award recipient so it must be heavy stuff. I don’t know why I thought it  was light, but it was good anyway, so I loved the book and didn’t regret buying it.

“Success, after all, loves a witness, but failure can’t exist without one.”

It’s good, really really good, and that’s all I have to say. And it’s funny to boot. There’s just some part I don’t understand because they use Spanish, although I’m a little familiar with Spanish since some Filipino words came from Spanish. But still.

Good Things Comes to Those Who Wait

Last night my sisters and I went to Robinson’s Galleria to buy some stuffs and as we were getting to go home we happen to pass by at Accessorize and luckily they have a sale so we decided to check it out. The first thing I saw when I enter the store is THE bag that I have been coveting since college!!! Although I never got around to buying it because it was a little expensive. I hurriedly went straight to it and checked if the price is within my budget and luckily IT WAS!!! So I finally have the bag that I have been lusting for almost a year now and I bought it at 70 percent off the original price.

I also have a similar good fortune with a pair of shoes I’ve been eyeing since college. It’s the same story as the bag, too expensive for my college allowance so I have to accept the fact I cannot buy the shoes, at least not yet. So when I started working and I have my own money enough to buy the shoes I came back for it but they said they do not have stocks of the shoes anymore, so I said maybe it wasn’t really for me (I always say this whenever I wasn’t able to have what I want). And then December of last year my boyfriend and I went on a date and we went to the shoe store that sell that shoes but I’m not expecting to find that shoes anymore, I’m just looking at their shoes without any plans of buying anything, and then I SAW THE PAIR OF SHOES I WANTED BACK IN COLLEGE! Yes, the one that are supposedly out of stock! And as luck would have it, IT WAS ON SALE!!!

My lucky stars must have love me so much!! I know this is a little superficial but because of these fortunate retail experiences I know proved to myself that good things really comes to those who wait and impatience will lead you nowhere, or worse, the nightmare of all shoppers, cognitive dissonance.
